Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility Criteria

To operate any self-drive vehicle rented from Gadi Self Drive , the customer must:

• Be at least 21 years of age at the time of commencement of the trip.
• Hold an original, valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence that has been active for a minimum of 1 continuous year.
• International travelers must present a valid passport, visa, and International Driving Permit (IDP).
• Produce matching Government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport) and PAN Card during handover.

2. Security Deposit & Refund Policy

A refundable security deposit ranging between ₹2,500 and ₹7,000 (depending on the vehicle class) is charged prior to car dispatch. The deposit is refunded in full to the original source of payment within 24–48 hours of vehicle return, subject to inspection for damages, traffic challans, and FASTag toll clearance.

3. Fuel Policy

Gadi Self Drive operates on a Level-to-Level Fuel Policy. The vehicle will be handed over with a designated fuel level noted on the digital checklist. The renter must return the vehicle with an equivalent fuel level. Any fuel shortfall will be charged at current market pump rates plus a nominal 10% refueling surcharge. Excess fuel returned is non-refundable.

4. Permissible Usage & Speed Governance

In strict compliance with Delhi Traffic Police and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) safety regulations:

• All vehicles are equipped with telematic speed-limiting governors set to 80 km/h or 100 km/h (for expressway-rated SUVs).
• Exceeding speed limits triggers automated safety warnings. Repeat offenses result in an administrative surcharge of ₹1,000 per violation.
• Vehicles must not be used for motor racing, towing, commercial passenger carriage without authorization, or transportation of illegal contraband.
• Smoking, vaping, and consuming alcohol inside vehicles is strictly prohibited. Violations incur a ₹2,500 deep-cleaning fee.

5. FASTag Tolls & Traffic Challans

All Gadi Self Drive are fitted with active national FASTag transponders. Any tolls incurred on state highways, national expressways (Yamuna Expressway, Eastern Peripheral, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway), and airport terminals are automatically logged and deducted from the customer's security deposit. Any e-challans issued by traffic cameras during the rental period remain the legal and financial responsibility of the renter.

6. Breakdown & Roadside Assistance

Gadi Self Drive provides 24/7 dedicated roadside assistance across India. In the rare event of mechanical failure or flat tyres, call our direct 24/7 helpline immediately at +91 99999 26867. Renter must not undertake mechanical repairs without explicit written authorization from our technical team.
